MEET OUR OWNER!
Izzy, our top dog and head honcho, is a true canine enthusiast.
From working breeds to doggie sports and guard duty, Izzy's done it all.
Izzy grew up with lots of dogs around her, with her family labrador paddy by her side until her late teens.
Izzy has always been a massive fan of working and bull breeds, which led her to welcoming Ronnie, her xl bully many years ago. unfortnatley ronnie was poorly and ended up going to a family who could provide the finances needed to keep him stable.
Izzy has two german shepards now; one of whom is a working security dog, a brilliant stable family dog who looks after the whole family like his life depends on it - however he can be dog reactive, its hit and miss.
the other a semi (long story) rescue - she is half akita half shepard, and has a complete mind of her own, a cautious and alert (common in akitas) yet friendly dog.
Dealing with stereotypes and stigmas around working breeds first hand, Izzy knows the struggles.
With past pups who were a bit on edge, finding the perfect match in a groomer was near enough impossible. to find Someone who understands and celebrates their unique personalities has always been a bumpy ride, so along came the canine parlour.

A key reason our company came to life was the bias we experienced first-hand as owners of bulldog breeds. Surprisingly, they are our top pick at the doggy salon - but hey, let's keep that hush-hush!
Unfortunately, due to some new rules about XL Bullys, we need to have a quick chat before your furry friend's initial appointment. There's just a bit of paperwork to fill out, no biggie!
For those big and beautiful XL Bullys, they'll get some extra special one-on-one treatment, just a smidge pricier. It's all about playing by the rules!
No need to fret, we're all about the love here, no judgment at all. Every pup gets the royal treatment!

Can you imagine a cooler club to be part of? We feel like the luckiest bunch getting to hang out with all the awesome kiddos in town!
But hold your woofs... The Puppy Club isn't just about snuggles and games - it's a massive responsibility for owners to ensure their furball grows up brave around grooming.
Whether you're a regular schedule client or a few times a year breed, this step is paws-itively crucial for pups to handle loud noises and busy environments like pros.
If a fluffy newbie has joined the crew, it's time to introduce them to the grooming table right from the start.
Our Puppy Pampering Program is here to make this introduction a walk in the dog park! 🐾
Our puppy CLUB spans across 3 fun-filled sessions and includes the following:
- A supervised tour of the salon on the first visit, allowing your little furball to sniff around and get comfy.
- Gentle introduction to grooming tools and equipment like clippers' buzz, bath time splashes, and the hum of the dryer.
- Loads of treats and praises for being a good sport during grooming practice, from paw massages to ear wipe sneak peeks and more.
- And, of course, a ton of playtime and snuggles!
We can't stress enough how crucial it is to get your furry friend acquainted with the grooming routine early on. It's the best way to prevent any future grooming jitters or fears from cropping up.
And to all you proud owners of big and working breeds, listen up! It's way easier to teach a 10kg pup to chill on the grooming table than a hefty 70kg dog who's four years into the game. So, let's start those grooming adventures early, shall we?

IN ORDER TO PROVIDE THE BEST CARE AND SERVICE TO YOU AND YOUR DOG, WE WILL FIRST ARRANGE A 30 MINUTE CONSULTATION IN A CLOSED SALON JUST FOR YOU, THE COST OF THIS CONSULTATION AT THE TIME OF BOOKING IS £30 AND NON REFUNDABLE.
fOLLOWING ON FROM IZZYS PERSONAL ASSESSMENT AND FRIENDLY CHAT WITH YOU, (AND HOPEFULLY BECOMING FRIENDS WITH YOUR FUR BABY) A 1-1 APPOINTMENT WILL BE BOOKED. payment must be made in full at the time of booking.

Our day care crew will be living their best lives with loads of love, playtime, and maybe even THEY WILL BE TAUGHT a trick or two WITH SOME FUN TRAINING.
Birthday bashes, water breaks, comfy bedding, and endless salon exploration are all part of the fun for our day care darlings. We pamper them like they're our very own furry friends.

SO happy we found Izzy!! Our lovely dog is incredibly nervous and we had some really bad experiences with other places, even those who say they are good with nervous dogs. KYRA, MIX BREED
After lasting 15 minutes at a previous salon, Kyra was refused grooming for being too hard to handle and difficult - friendly, but just too strong headed. I was expecting a call within a few minutes of dropping her, but nope, Kyra came back fully groomed, nails clipped and teeth cleaned. Izzy really does have the confidence and handling skills larger breeds require, whilst also the TLC all owners hope their dogs are treated with.
Bluie, Cockerpoo
Bluie is actually one of the most hyper balls of energy you can imagine. We first sent him to The Canine Parlour from a pup for regular puppy grooming sessions. These started at 15 mins slow introductions and i now see how important this desensitisation is from a young age. Bluie now flies into his appointments and loves being in the salon with the girls. PS; the pawfume is unreal, he always smells devine!!
